Metal eyeglasses with anti-reflective hardening treatment.
HARDENING TREATMENT
The hardening treatment, indicated with the initials H, is applied to the surface of the organic lenses in order to improve their resistance to abrasion and preserve their properties for a longer time.
ANTI-REFLECTIVE TREATMENT
The hardening treatment is usually combined with the anti-reflective treatment (HMC). This treatment is carried out on a lens in order to reduce the disturbing images that are formed by reflection from its surfaces. It is used to obtain a better definition of the image and to attenuate the reflected images. This treatment is always advisable, especially in cases of night driving to avoid the annoyance of lights, street lamps and illuminated signs, for lens wearers with high prismatic powers or for video terminal operators.
